I really like your peaches
Sunny skies have finally appeared in Texas, after long weeks of (much needed) rain. This weekend I'm in Beaumont for a wedding and it was as hot and humid as ever! Tanks tops like this one from Lyla's Clothing are my absolute favorite to sport in summer. They let the breeze flow through, don't show your sweat, and don't wrinkle. I mean, come on. That's a Texas-summer girl's dream tank! What do you wear in the summer to help with the heat?
I'm always looking for fun things to do, so I asked my bf if we could stop at Cooper Farms in Fairfield for some fresh peaches. It's just the beginning of peach season, so they aren't that juicy, July peach that your mouth waters at, but they are still pretty tasty. I mean, who can turn down a farm- fresh peach?
I accidentally led us to the orchard, not the country store, but decided to make the best of it and take some pics by the trees. I love fields full of fruit, so I didn't mind the detour. We then proceeded to go to the country store and buy up everything from peach bread, to peach salsa, and of course, a bushel of freshly picked peaches.
I LOVE visiting orchards (or any type of U-Pick farms and vineyards for that matter). One of my earliest memories regarding one, was picking fresh peaches with my grandmother and grandfather in Arkansas. You can definitely expect me to feature more places like this on the blog.
Do you have any similar places that you like to go to? I still have a couple near the Dallas area that I want to share, but would love to know some others that I need to try out!
