J. Crew is my Favorite Color (and other thoughts on NYFW)
New York Fashion Week has come to an end, meaning one thing...it's now time for London Fashion Week! Before we zoom on to a different continent, let's reflect on NY's Fashion Week. As I was not physically present at NYFW, I reviewed the collections from the warmth of my apartment, which might actually have been a better deal considering all of that snow... (just for fun, see my interview from 2012 regarding Fashion Week, here)
If you know me personally, then this is common knowledge, but I love J. Crew. I love Mickey Drexler and Jenna Lyons and if the HQ wasn't in NY, I'd probably be applying for a job there. (Though they do have a HQ center in San Antonio,TX). I love the fit and style, and the aura of the brand, so naturally their line is one of my top collections to look at because it's actually quite wearable for the modern woman. *Cue Michelle Obama*.
I LOVED their collection for Fall 2015. Like L-O-V-E-D it. It might of have something to do with all of the pops of chartreuse they used, as that's my favorite color. (No, J. Crew is not a color, so it can't be my favorite, but they used chartreuse for this fall and that's one of the reasons they stand out + it is my fave!) I also just admitted my obsession with J. Crew, so that also plays into the infatuation, as well. Just to be sure, I looked back over their collection and I still think it was a home run. They hit trends like faux fur and fringe, while incorporating the new neutrals - light greys and blush tones. Below are some of my favorite looks from their Fall 2015 Collection. Pictures are not my own, but you can find them here, as well as the rest of their amazing collection.
What were your thoughts on NYFW? Did you have a favorite look or show?
P.S. did you see Emma Stone in Elie Saab at the Academy Awards? She was rocking this hot color as well!
