So, you know I have a passion for small businesses, but what I especially love is a brand that stands for something bigger than itself. Tribe + Glory is just that brand!
Tribe + Glory is a non-profit company that helps women and their villages in Zirobwe, Uganda. It is one thing to give money (and I'm not saying that is bad- I give money!), but it is another thing to give some one a skill. so that they can earn money, even if the gifts stop flowing.
What more could you possible want out of a company? Every piece of jewelry you receive is handmade by women of the village, so the money goes right back to them to support their families. One fun little tidbit is that each piece of jewelry is named after a woman in the village. How neat is that?!
Like Carrie Bradshaw, I too like my money where I can see it...hanging around my neck and directly affecting people's lives ;)
