Baldwin Maxwell Crop Flares | Free People Ottoman Slouchy Tunic | Madewell Gemma Mule | Chanel Rouge Coco

It's funny looking back at previous personal style, don't ya think? I LOL when I think about the fact that I refused to wear pants, especially jeans, in  high school. Yes I wore bottoms to school;) They were just mainly skirts and dresses. If you ask anyone I knew in high school if they had ever seen me wear jeans, most would say no! What was my deal?? Anyway, nowadays I love jeans! Sometimes I can be stubborn with trends and such- I am a late trend bloomer, if you will. That's how I was with light jeans. I swore I'd never sport a faded wash again, but here I am #hello

My current favorite jean trend are kick flares. They aren't super tight around your ankles and look super chic, whether you are sporting flats or heels! To be honest, I was scared of them at first. I mean howwww could they even look good on me?! I ordered the Madewell version, but then went to the Baldwin store opening in Dallas (mentioned that here) and fell in love with their fit and coloring of the Maxwell Crop Flares.

So, how did I get from hating the trend, to becoming a supporter of it? Well yes, it made me feel pretty, but I love the versatility! (my key word) They are kind of a dressy jean - I wore them to work the other day with ankle strap sandals! But, I have also worn them with flats/mules. Dress them up or down - they look great either way. I tend to try and buy things that have the potential to worn a lot, so I shop smarter and spend my money more wisely.

What do you think of kick flares? Want to give the trend a whirl? Here are some of my favorites! Just scroll through the images and click on one to be taken to the webpage. If you can't click through, just refresh the page and it should work! P.S. don't overlook the velveteen pair #NEED
