If you have called, texted, or emailed me recently and I haven't responded, it's because I'm up to my eyeballs in orders! In case you didn't already know, I don't blog full time. (though it does seem like a full time job at times, hah) I work for Dallas Cowboys Merchandising, in their merchandising department. Right now we are getting all of our orders in for Fall 2016, which means lots and lots of purchase orders. Point being, I am glued to my computer all day at work, then I come home and furiously type my posts via my laptop, so I can blog for y'all! Most days when I don't really get a break from screen-time, I get headaches on either side of the bridge of my nose and behind my eyes; however, this season I haven't gotten any headaches, thanks to this week's Southern Elle Style Shop Share!
Enter Phonetic Eyewear! What appears to be just a normal glasses company, will probably end up changing your life. In this day and age, we don't go anywhere without our devices. Sadly, our eyes weren't made to process the harsh blue light that most electronics (like your lap top) emit. Because so much screen time is relatively new, most people don't realize that the vibrant light is causing them problems. This was an issue that was initially recognized by the gaming community, as they were the first ones to really "binge" on anything TV or computer related. Whether it is causing you eye pain, creating wrinkles from squinting, or insomnia, you don't have to worry about these issues any more!
Phonetic Eyewear is basically a stylish pair of gaming glasses. Gamer glasses are traditionally thick and yellow, which is pretty unflattering for everyone involved. Luckily Phonetic Eyewear's offering is super chic and you can't even tell it is a tech piece. In layman's terms, these glasses essentially block and reflect the blue light from your devices! If you look closely at these pictures, you can actually see the blue light being reflected under my eyes and/or the yellowish tint the lenses have. I mean, if that's not proof, then what is?!
Another great perk is that the glasses come in lots of styles and colors! Since I wear contacts, I opted for the normal pair of glasses; however, they also have a prescription set and a reading glasses set as well! I went with the Blair in tortoise. Not only do I love the way they look, I love the way they work. They have seriously been a lifesaver this football season and I know they will continue to be in the future!
