Happy Saturday! Today was my bridal shower and it was just a dream. It perfectly matched my wedding theme and feel. As a bride you don't have to do much when it comes to showers- you really just show up! BUT there is one special thing you need to do...give the hostess(es) a gift.
What to do though? If you are having trouble deciding, I wrote a previous post on "How to Choose a Hostess Gift" that can surely help you, or you could just take my advice and use my foolproof suggestion. Rewined Candles!
Okay, let's back up. I first found Rewined Candles, on a family trip to Charleston (go there if you've never been!), at their famous farmers market! They make the candles right there in South Carolina and are definitely my favorite candle. There may be other "wine candle" makers, but I've smelled them and they don't even compare to Rewined's product or packaging. Their scent is so good, you don't even have to light it to catch a whiff ever now and then.
Does this sound familiar? This was the first time I posted about them...almost a year ago! At that time, they had just released their magnum sized Spiked Cider candle. Just thinking about it, makes me wish it was the first official day of fall, already! Anyway, this year I'm back talking about their new releases, only this time it's a whole new collection!
This summer, Rewined Candles launched their Blanc Collection. So what does that mean? Well, if you are familiar with their brand, they have a RosƩ scent and at first it was just a special edition, but now it has become a classic. What makes it different, is that it is in a clear glass bottle, whereas the others are in the traditional green glass bottle. So, the entire blanc collection is in the clear glass! Kind of fun, huh?
So what's even offered in the Blanc Collection? The RosƩ of course, but also Vihno Verde, Viognier, Syrah, Zinfandel, and Chenin Blanc. When choosing these flavors, er, I mean scents, they wanted to choose wines that the average consumer doesn't consider, in hopes to make them less "scary" to order, if you will. I mean, if you saw something like Vihno Verde on the menu, would you try that or would you settle for a simple Chardonnay?
One thing I love about Rewined Candles, is that they have scents that work for guys, too! I bought one of their original collection (Pinot Noir) for Nick when we first started dating and he loved it. Out of this collection, I think that the Vihno Verde is most male suited - not to say a female couldn't have it too! Just giving suggestions :) The first candle I ever bought from them was Riesling, and that is still my favorite, but honestly all of them are SO good. I actually have owned the RosƩ scent since they launched it and it gives Riesling a run for its money. So, what's my favorite from this new collection? It's a tie between Viognier and Zinfandel!
Back to the main point of this post...whether your host drinks wine or doesn't, one of these candles will for sure be a hit and are anything but ordinary. They are classy and elegant and actually useful - everything a good hostess wants! If you're like me and want to make sure it fits the "theme" of everything and doesn't stick out, honestly, I think they would work for just about any wedding theme! They work perfectly with mine, because one of my ongoing themes is wine - from my bridesmaid dress hue, to corks for the name cards. BUT I can see this totally working for anything from boho, to glam. I hope you see it too! Oh, and get some for yourself, while you're at it ;)
Have you ever smelled Rewined Candles? How many do you now own? Because they are THAT good!! Do you have a "go-to" hostess gift that isn't a bottle of wine and something that they'll actually like, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?? Enlighten me!
P.S. While we are on the topic of bridal showers... here's some of my posts on what to wear to a bridal shower, both guest edition and bride edition! Enjoy :)
