Almost a month ago, I traveled to Dallas, TX for a baby shower for our twins. It was the perfect little gender neutral color schemed baby shower for our boy-girl twins. Both mine and Nick’s favorite color is green, plus our nursery theme is neutrals and green, so it just kind of made sense. I also loved the greenery theme since Nick is really into plants right now.
Keep scrolling for the details of our (first) twin baby shower. Wanted to share the deets, since it has been really hard for me to find twin inspiration… twinspiration if you will ;) so giving all I can. I have a shower this weekend in LA and be sure to share that one too!
P.S. I shared a short video of the details here if you want to see them in action!
They bought the below onesies I had on my registry and used them as part of the decor. I love that! Functional and my aesthetic all rolled into one. If you’ve never seen this baby brand, I found them on Amazon. They are really good organic cotton baby basics that are affordable too.
Of course adore the eucalyptus detail too!
For the favor, they went with two chocolates, to bring the twin theme all into one. The frame says “babies are sweet, please take a treat” and the tag read “Thank you for celebrating with us! Lauren’s Baby Shower 06.19.21”. I saved a couple of the gift tags for keepsakes / scrapbook purposes.
Loved this little photo backdrop they made. We didn’t really venture out onto the patio in the Texas summer heat; however, the natural light worked best for all the photos and I was happy to have a cute little spot to snap some memories. The set up was leaves on some wooden rods and some white pops here and there.
My sweet shower hosts!!
These lemon bars were my favorite thing! Also peep the balloon banner and white hydrangea details below.
These twin themed custom cookies were so cute and a beautiful add to the array of snacks.
One of my favorite pics from the day with my mom and my sister :)
For an added detail, they printed out photos from our maternity / announcement shoot. You can see more of the pictures here. I also did an outfit change - you can see those images here.
Nothing Fits But Ichikia Dress (similar dress here and here, I also have this one) | Shopbop Quilted Mule Heeled Sandals (old, similar here and here)
I received so many messages and compliments on my dress! I can’t take credit for finding it, as my sister picked it out. I was looking at loose and flowy dresses and she was like NO. I want to see your bump. I said fine, but you find it for me, because I’m tired of looking and hating everything. Needless to say, she delivered. I plan on doing a product review of their dresses (just bought another one) very soon.
Last but not least, I wanted to share the invitations they made, because they are so pretty! Prior to seeing them, I chose these thank you notes, so it is fun how they matched up. I thought they were so cute and a great price. Plus, it has a sticker seal on the envelope, so you don’t have to lick. I keep the thank you notes with a book of stamps, so I can immediately write a thank you note, otherwise I’ll forget. I’ve already checked off the notes from the shower, but still have some gifts coming in. I figure I should make time for them now, because once the babies come, my time will be shot.
Hope this post gave you some baby shower inspiration, whether you’re throwing one for twins or not. Would be great for a singleton boy or girl. I love the gender neutral-ness of it and found it perfect for our boy-girl twins. So thankful to have friends and family to make us feel so loved!
