Why is it that once 4th of July hits, everyone is like shoot, summer is gone?! My birthday is early August, so I’m sitting over here like “excuse me ma’am”, can you please put away the pumpkins for a little while longer?!” Anyway, we are over here soaking the warm air of summer up like it’s our job. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite things for the last couple of weeks.

The Family Game by Catherine Steadman. I love Cat Steadman! She writes great thrillers and this is her latest one. Sure, not very summery, but it is very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Alohas Vegan Leather Sneakers. I pre-ordered these 3 months ago and they finally came! I love how they are clean, comfy, and elevate any outfit.
Simple Mills Organic Seed Crackers. I try to eat GF a lot of the time and these are my favorite crackers. They don’t taste “too gluten free” if you know what I mean. Simple Mills can do no wrong.
Perfect Sweatshirt. I know it feels odd to recommend a sweatshirt in the height of summer, but it sometimes gets chilly at night, plus I know all of you central AC people get cold sometimes too. This runs slightly small in my opinion, but drapes wonderfully and is so comfortable. Did I mention it’s under $50 and I like it better than some of the more expensive sweatshirts out there?
The Kingdom of Prep by Maggie Bullock. I love fashion history and J. Crew, so naturally I enjoyed this book. So much history and reliving my more preppy days.
MZ Wallace Metro Sling. She can do no wrong! I’ve used this a couple of times now and I love it. I’ll test it out on a plane ride next week, but basically it looks chic and can hold quite a bit. A full review will come soon!
Wooden Letter Magnets. I wanted to get some for the twins to play with, but didn’t want too many bright colors taking over our living room. These were the first ones I found that I actually liked. They are natural looking, but still fun to play with. The magnets are small, but they are embedded into the wood. Nick and I also like to leave sweet messages on the fridge for each other. Not just for the kids ;)
Siete Maiz Totopos. I have always liked Siete, but I love that they have come out with more corn options. They give the flavor of a regular chip, but of course are made with Siete’s high stipulations like minimal ingredients and quality products. So good!
Evereden Detangling Shampoo and Conditioner. I’ve gone through quite a bit of shampoos and conditioners, but didn’t find some I loved until Evereden. These work wonderfully on the twins’ hair and have natural fragrance that doesn’t give me a headache.
Summer Romper. I shared this romper here, but I wanted to share it here, because it is such a good piece for this summer. Dress it up or dress it down. It comes in other colors and is under $50.
