We shot these looks two months ago, but man oh man, my love for blazers has only grown since! I styled this blazer 3 ways for you over here, but today I’m presenting a 4th on the blog! It’s kind of my rocker-chic vibe. What do you think?? I’ve also styled a blazer with shorts and with a skirt for work, if you want more blazer style inspo! Blazers are for sure trending right now, but they are actually a pretty staple piece. If you want to lean more trends, you can definitely find some fun pieces, but a plaid blazer like mine is sure to be in-style for a while. The oversized silhouette is a little more trendy, but I actually size down in all of mine, so they could fit more snugly and be wearable for a while longer.

I wanted the Style for Every Body girls to feature blazers, because it is an approachable piece than anyone can wear. PLUS they are super versatile, as you can wear them to work or on the weekend! I actually paired mine with a crop top and biker shorts for a concert the other weekend! Who would have thought? Honestly, not me if you would have asked me several months ago…

I bought this Madewell blazer early August and I’m so glad I did, because it sold out most places already. I did find some in stock here and here if you want to grab one! This blazer has pretty much become my new “denim jacket” as it goes with pretty much everything. I actually wore it to church yesterday with ripped jeans, a white t-shirt and sneakers. Regarding sizing, I am normally a S, but wanted to size down to an XS. They were sold out of XS in store, so I tried an XXS and knew I had to have it. I definitely think you only need to size down one size, not two though. My shoulders are pretty narrow, so the smallest size ended up working in my favor. I think a good rule of thumb for any oversized piece is to go down a size so it doesn’t swallow you.

Let’s get into today’s stylings!
