Sooo I actually already shared this dress on the blog here by styling it 3 ways AND it made another appearance on my summer skincare routine post. I just had to share it again, because when I posted it on Instagram recently, a lot of you told me it was one of your favorite outfits ever. I couldn’t agree more!

Before you shoot me for bringing up fall while we are in the thick of summer…
1) fall is only 60ish days away
2) you were probably shopping fall styles recently during the Nsale anyway
3) if you have mentioned wanting it to be football season, you’re ready for fall anyway
4) you can grab some sale summer styles to dress into fall #yourewelcome
Anyway, back to this dress. One of the reasons I love it is because it has darker, moody tones for that of a floral maxi dress. Colors are definitely something to pay attention to if you’re going try and stretch your clothing across seasons. BUT if the dress at hand isn’t black, you can always make it more “fall” by adding darker layers like this black denim jacket or even darker toned shoes. I wore white sneakers this evening, because it’s still summer and #soLA to wear sneakers with a dress. ALSO we went to the coolest little picnic + wine night at Barnsdall Art Park in Hollywood and sneakers just made sense vs sandals or heels. I almost wore a cute little bandana with the look, but decided to go with layered gold necklaces instead.
What do you think? One of your favorite outfits ever? Or maybe it was just the golden hour glow in the golden state? If you’re in LA this Summer, definitely check out the Barnsdall Art Park Wine Tasting Fridays. They run May-August. You just pay $35 for a ticket, which includes the wine and you are able to bring in your own picnic and enjoy a beautiful sunset + music!
P.S. I actually got in trouble for taking these photos! The location I chose to stand in was NOT allowed. Worth it, right? ;) TBH I didn’t know! There weren’t any signs.
