BlanyNYC Suede Moto Jacket | Madewell Midi Sweater Dress (almost sold out, so here’s a really similar one) | Suede Over The Knee Boots | Madewell Silk Bandana

Happy Thanksgiving week, y’all! I’m over here running around like a chicken with its head cut off because we were gone the entire weekend (Baylor game all Saturday and a styled shoot all Sunday). We are hosting friendsgiving on Tuesday and then leave on Wednesday for Sacramento! Not to mention, I can feel my thrown getting scratchy. Okay okay, but back to what this week is: THANKSgiving. In a lot of ways I’m ready for this year to be over, but in many more ways, I’m very thankful for this year. I encourage you to look back on this year and name your “pits and cherries”. The pits being the worst parts and the cherries being the “sweet” favorite parts. And when you name off the “pits” think about who was there for you and that my friend is something to add to your thankful list!!

Maybe you’re tired of your closet, or maybe you’re headed to your significant other’s thanksgiving and don’t know what to wear! Typically when I don’t know what to wear, I always wear black. It’s effortlessly chic and always a good idea. If you truly don’t know the attire of the evening, a dress is always a good idea. This sweater dress could have been dressed up, but I dressed it down with flat suede boots, a suede moto jacket, and a square scarf! It makes the whole look appear more casual, but like a smart casual. This way if everyone is wearing jeans, you are on the less formal side, but if everyone is dressed nicely, you are just an edgy version of them. PLUS you can always add a splash of lipstick for a little more vavavoom.

How do y’all feel about black and brown worn together? I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I used to think it was a horrendous pair, but now I can’t get enough of the neutral mix! While I still don’t wear white after labor day, you will catch my donning black and brown on the regular.

Side note -these pictures were taken on our way back to San Francisco from Mendocino! The vines belong to Goldeneye Wines, which is one of the brands our beloved Duckhorn owns. I always love a good fall vineyard pic and Goldeneye was so beautiful, we just had to pull of the road to snap a pick.

I hope y’all have a good week and remember to breaaaathe! You’ve got this! I hope your week is filled with less stress and more thankfulness. XOXO
