What up y’all! It was 75 degrees in Dallas last week and this weekend it’s going to be in the 20’s and 30’s. Point being, you can bring out your transition wear now! When I saw this leopard midi skirt, I knew I wanted to style it for y’all because:
1) It’s seasonless. You can style it year-round.
2) It’s versatile. You can wear it to work or on the weekend.
3) It’s timeless. Yes it is leopard, but it’s tiny print, so it isn’t as loud and the midi length helps tone down the trend.
First up I styled it probably how I’d wear it to work right now. It was screaming CHUNKY SWEATER at me, so I just had to go for it. I tried to fem it up with some dainty ankle strap heels, but booties or sock booties would be super cute too. The skirt is tighter, so I wanted to let it speak for itself and go with a more oversized top. Side note, the skirt comes up really high. I love that, butI would have probably sized different if knew that. I’m wearing a 4, but would probably be more comfortable in a 6.
Reformation Bea Leopard Skirt | Ilia Lipstick: Rosette | Denim Shirt (I layered it with a black lace bralette) | Chinese Laundry Mules (similar here, I actually have in brown!)
My goal here was to dress the skirt down. I always love leopard with chambray and this is no exception. I layered the denim top with a black lace bralette to bring the coordinating color in. I chose blue, but don’t forget, leopard is basically a neutral. It goes great with pop colors! Red would be a STUNNING combo for this Valentine’s Day!
Reformation Bea Leopard Skirt | Ilia Lipstick: Rosette | J. Crew Black Denim Jacket | Everlane White Camisole | Vince Darlington Flats
HERE is your spring transition look. I layered a white camisole with a denim jacket, which is perfect for those chilly mornings and warm afternoons when you need to shed a layer. You could dress it down further (the denim jacket already does so) and swap my nude flats for some sandals too. Honestly you could also swap the denim for a blazer and maybe the flats for some heels and call it work wear too. Your pick!
Which is your favorite?! I love them all, but it might be a tie between the first and last one. The last is probably the most sensible though. Let me know if there’s anything I can help style for y’all. I love a challenge!
