Hello December friends! If you missed my December Favorites, then catch up on this, then come back! I knew I wanted to do a December edition of The Art of Versatility, because it is probably the time of year with the most pressure to buy something new. I have a work Christmas party, Nick has a work Christmas party, we have other events, I mean the list goes on and on! It’s for sure okay to buy something shiny and new, but make sure that you are shopping smart! This jumpsuit would make a great holiday party look, but it can also be worn several ways, making it a good buy!

Side note, up close it’s kind of like a 70’s floral print velvet. Your mom might of lived in a house with similar carpet? (lol) But honestly it’s really cute. The fit is pretty good too - I’m wearing a 4. It has pockets, so that’s a plus, but they sides kind of puff out more than I’d like because of them. It really doesn’t look bad, just something I noticed. I covered it up with jackets or a belt. Just wanted to make sure you knew!

First I styled it down with a denim jacket and nude flats. I looove that it has blacks and browns and other neutrals in the pattern. I think this is a cute little brunch or lunch date outfit. A black denim jacket and nude flats are definitely wardrobe staples that you’ll find yourself wearing again and again, no matter the season.

This look is styled a bit more for work I’d say? I can’t get enough of caramel suedes so I paired a moto jacket and my heeled mules. I almost paired it with my black suede moto jacket, but honestly both look good! I wrote an ode to this jacket in 2017. It is seriously so good and a great deal for the price. You’ll wear it forever. I think the jacket and shoes elevate it from my previous styling, making it a bit more fancy.

Andddd here’s how I’d wear it to a party! I popped black, but popping gold would be super cute. And of course some red lip ;) Like I mentioned at the top, I belted it because I wanted a little more accentuation on my waist than my hips. A scarf tied around the waist would be darling as well!

So which is your favorite? I think my favorite is the denim jacket or the party look. It’s such a unique little number, I’m glad it can be worn many ways. Happy styling! My first Christmas party is tonight. Stay tuned to see what I wear ;)
