Less than 2 weeks until Christmas, Friends! Nick and I decided to go ahead and get a Christmas tree, even though I said we might not here. Last year Nick kept his tree until February...Can't say we'll keep it that long this year, but we will try and get our moneys-worth! If you want to see where we got our Christmas tree in Dallas, check out this post! We got a Nordeman tree - it is a cross between a Frasier and a Noble Fir!

Anyway, I wore this pine green dress to Nick's Christmas party this year. He works for a conservative consultant firm, so I wanted something that was more on the classy side, but still had a little funk. Here's how I styled it for that! If you have been a reader for a while, specifically this summer, you may have noticed that I actually have styled this dress before, but in cornflower blue! (see here) Right now it is also available in burgundy and black, so there is a color for everyone, though I think all 3 are flattering! I've said it before, but the make on this dress is just impeccable. It makes me feel skinny and pretty! (I'm wearing a size 6 for reference) I love this dress, because it is work approved, but also wedding and even night life appropriate, depending on the accessories. It can stand on its own, or be paired with different pieces for different events, which I think you gathered from my above stylings.

I began doing some "Art of Versatility" posts this summer and have decided to keep doing it. I am all about being able to be quality items and style them in numerous ways throughout my lifetime. I keep clothes FOREVER. If you want to see my past musings, here's the other AoV posts I've done: Gingham Shirt 3 ways, Lace Dress 3 ways, and Floral Dress styled for summer and fall.

So, why did I want to show y'all how versatile this piece can be? Well on a hanger, it just looks like a $188 work dress that doesn't do much else, which as you can see, is so far from the truth! For the first one, styled it more trendy and casual first, with the cheetah booties and front tied plaid shirt! That one is honestly my favorite, because it is the most fun. The second is more of a semi-formal, fall wedding look. The plaid scarf doesn't have to be worn, but is a great option if it is too warm for a coat, but the night might turn chilly. The last look is the most formal, The moto jacket is on trend, but still goes well with the dress and is the least trendy out of all of them looks. I love how it pops with my shoes - side note, those were actually my wedding shoes!

So which do you like best? Don't be afraid of a $188 price tag if you will get some good, versatile looks from it! This dress' cost per wear is low due to its quality and wearability, which means it and can adjust with your ever changing style! P.S. If you don't have a Christmas eve look yet, this would be PERFECT. Merry, merry y'all! Hope this brought you some outfit inspo.

P.P.S If you were with me since at least this day last year, then you remember that a year ago today, THIS HAPPENED!!
