To Wear or Not to Wear: Black and Brown

They say the more things change, the more they stay the same. I mean, here I am typing this at 10 pm on Sunday night again, haha. SAME. But, thank goodness, some things do change! I love looking back and seeing the difference in as little me not liking onions, to now, when I will crave them on the regular! Another thing that changes for the better (most of the time), is fashion sense! A color combo that I used to loathe, is black and brown. And while I still don't think you should wear a brown belt with black shoes (unless one of those pieces are leopard print), I full on support the mixture of black and brown!

Black, paired with dark brown can be very chic - picture a acrylic sheath dress, paired with a chocolatey riding boot. Good, right? BUT the goodness doesn't stop there. As you can see in this post, I paired tan with black. If you are/used to be against the color combo, then this is an easier way to start! It doesn't feel super brown, but still shares the same type of color story, as a darker brown. It's kind of like giving a color pop, without actually popping a real color. Anyway, this tan and black scarf will go with everything and is under $40! If you still don't like these hues paired together, it actually comes in a blue, as well as a red version.

Obviously even with the right colors, someone can still style a black and brown combo horribly wrong, but that's true for just about everything! What do you think? Do you  sport it or do you just admire it from afar? I definitely deem this look a WEAR!

P.S. I realize this post doesn't have as much "meat" to its content. Trying to get back to that! It's super busy over here - we are less than 20 days from the wedding! Thanks for bearing with me. xoxo
