Two Saturdays ago was my birthday, and I was lucky enough to head to San Francisco for a bday dinner and a great night’s sleep. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. We headed into SF earlier than the work week and spent the weekend having fun, as Nick had to go for a new client and I had some brand meetings. It had been a while since we stayed in the city, as most of the time we are just passing through and/or head straight for Napa. Don’t worry, we did spend Sunday in The Valley, but I was so glad to experience more of SF and to stay at Hotel Vitale.

We checked in around 8:00 pm, fluffed up, then headed to our dinner at Cotogna. Side note - AMAZING. Favorite meal of the trip. Anyway, back to Hotel Vitale. When we walked in the room, I was instantly impressed. We had a waterfront view and not only was the room spacious, but it was beautiful. The rooms all have lavender in the door numbers, so you get a faint whiff of floral notes upon entering. The bed was comfortable (not always a given at a hotel!) AND they had noise machines. I don’t personally use one, but a lot of my friends do, so I thought that was an awesome perk to include. If SF weren’t such an amazing city, I would have been perfectly content just hanging out in my room, ordering room service and watching the cars drive over the bridge.

Luckily the rooms at Hotel Vitale are just an extension of how great their hotel is. The rest of the hotel is just as stunning, with an on-sight restaurant Americano and their penthouse level spa and rooftop soaking tubs. Their fitness center is nice too, but I think my favorite feature were their rooftop terraces. You could just sit and watch the city beneath you, or even enjoy a drink or snack up there! ALSO, there’s a great patio on the first floor, if heights aren’t your thing ;) The hotel is right by the ferry building, so there’s a lot of things to do nearby and it’s a great location to stay.

If you need a place to rest your head in SF, I strongly suggest checking out Hotel Vitale! Have you stayed there? What’s your favorite things to do or see in the city? There’s seriously more things to do than I have time for, so I for-see another stay at Hotel Vitale and a giant to-do list in the near future!
