Bed to Brunch Striped Pajama Set (also comes in a night shirt and a pant set)

Last week still feels like a dream - I can't believe it's over! You may or may not have noticed that I only had 2 blog posts last week... well I can't say it was on purpose, but it kind of was. I needed a break and with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale coming up this week, I didn't want to get burned out like I did last year. Anyway, Nick and I took a trip to LA, Santa Barbara, and Paso Robles. IT WAS JUST WHAT TO DOCTOR ORDERED.

We flew into LA and stayed the night, then woke up and started our drive to Santa Barbara. It was only like 1.5 hours, so not bad at all. PLUS, it's so pretty. Normally I fall asleep on road trips, but I didn't at all this time! Even Nick was surprised. (haha). We got into town, had lunch, then arrived at the cutest bed and breakfast, The Cheshire Cat Inn!

The Cheshire Cat Inn is a romantic little bed and breakfast, not too far from downtown and not too far from the beach either! It's walkable to both State Street and East Beach. It is comprised of 2 Victorian Queen Houses and Craftsman Cottages. The homes were purchased in 1984 and opened as The Cheshire Cat Inn in 1985. The name pays both an homage to the owner's hometown in England, in addition to Lewis Carroll's famous story. The rooms are actually named after the Alice in Wonderland theme - ours was the Tweedledee!

Sooo what makes The Cheshire Cat Inn special? Well besides the rich history and beautiful estate?? They go above and beyond. Don't get me wrong - I love a good Air BnB, BUT when was the last time they actually came through on the "nb" part? I have been to a couple that actually do treat it that way, but most don't. With The Cheshire Cat Inn, you get:

  • A yummy breakfast! (I had scrambled eggs, yogurt + homemade granola, a fruit cup, and fresh banana bread!)
  • Afternoon wine + hordourve hour
  • Free on-site parking
  • Dessert Hour
  • 24 Hour refreshment area
  • Electric Vehicle Charging availability
  • Wifi that actually works/you don't have to pay for

And honestly, those are just scratching the surface! The Cheshire Cat Inn is the perfect little Santa Barbara getaway! I also loved that I was able to really spread out in my room and not feel cramped. I was truly able to enjoy Santa Barbara with how close the inn was in proximity to everything. I would go back in a heartbeat!  Stay tuned for my Santa Barbara posts, y'all. I'll be over here California Dreaming!
