You guys, these pictures don't even do this place justice! I had to start out saying that, because it's the honest to goodness truth.

This August, some of my best friends and I traveled to Salem, Oregon, for peak Pinot Noir season in the Willamette Valley. The trip idea was sparked in spring of 2016, because at the time, I was Pinot Noir obsessed. (Don't worry... I still love Pinot, it's just my palette has expanded) I think everyone thought I was crazy when I booked this trip over a year in advance, but honestly you can't beat Oregon in August. The temperature was perfect, and so were the pinot grapes;)

AtTheJoy is a luxury wine retreat located on 30 acres in the heart of the Willamette Valley. It is 6500 square feet, has 7 bedrooms, and even extra space if you need more beds.  The master bedroom is the star, with a large walk-in closet, spacious bedroom, and stunning bathroom, featuring a porcelain tub. Don't worry, every inch of it is stunning, though! 3/7 bedrooms are bungalows, featured on the side of the home and they are the prettiest. Try and steal the one facing the vineyard if you can;)

It's not just the bedrooms that are killer, though. The kitchen is fantastic and is stocked with all the tools you could need to cook and entertain.  Some people even bring chefs out to the house! We have some kitchen lovers, so we visited the local grocery store several times and  just did it ourselves. The dining and living room is perfection, but the most popular place for us was the fire pit. We did everything from start out our mornings there (it was perfect with the chill in the air and the heat of the fire!!) and end our nights there with sticky-sweet s'mores.

AtTheJoy sits on Anahata Vineyard, which will yield it's first harvest this month! Anahata is the heart chakra (might sound familiar if you practice yoga!) which is Sanskrit for "unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten"...the name implies that beneath the grievances of the past, lies a pure + spiritual place where no hurt exists. The name of the house "AtTheJoy" actually plays into this as well, because most of the plots of grapes were named "joy" in different languages! I couldn't have picked a better themed residence for the time away...My personal mantra is "choose joy" and my joy comes from above. Though relationships are hard, troubles come, and we are broken, joy is always available in abundance from Him- you just have to choose it.

Whether you need a weekend away with your besties or are looking for a place to plan a team-building retreat, I couldn't recommend AtTheJoy more. It is the perfect place to stay in the Willamette Valley. To learn more about the space, availability, or amenities, head to the AtTheJoy website.
