If you're lucky enough to live next to or near your best friends, eat up every minute of it! Our friends have somewhat scattered, which makes it hard, but our reunions oh so sweet. If you have been following along with my Oregon posts, you've seen that! Catch up on more of them here. The whole thing that sparked our Oregon trip was Pinot Noir, so it's only natural that we carved out one day for wine tasting! The Willamette Valley is the Mecca of Pinot Noir, so there are a TON of places to choose from. Nick and I can go all day with wine tasting, but we just did 3 for the group's sake! We spent most of our time in McMinnville. Here they are:

Maysara Winery | Momtazi Vineyard.  I loved starting the day with this one! It is a Persian winery, so all of the names and such are in Farsi. The wines were delicious and the grounds were beautiful. They practice biodynamics, which is unlike most wineries and super cool! Their Asha was my favorite!

Left Coast Cellars. This was our second stop of the day and it was perfect, because they are known for their cafe.  Hello lunch time! We arrived on a Friday, which is when they do their pairing meals. Nick and I split one and it was great! Their winery is beautiful and we could have spent hours there. They are most known for their White Pinot Noir - you've just got to try it if you haven't!

Elizabeth Chambers Cellar. It was great to end the day this way. Elizabeth Chambers is know for their Pinot Noirs! Their cellar is BEAUTIFUL. The exposed brick and cozy chairs are phenomenal, but don't forget about the pretty patio. My favorite wine was the Falcon. SO GOOD. They also serve Olympia Provisions, which doesn't hurt!

Now remember that we stayed in Salem - deep in the Willamette Valley, so there is a lot around us! I know next time Nick wants to go to Cristom, which has some killer bottles. It was pretty close to us, so a shame, we didn't have time to visit. I personally want to explore more of Dundee - we went to only one there and I am dying to go to more! They reminded me a lot of Napa and I want to see (and taste!) more of them.

Oregon has so much to offer, especially regarding wine. I know we have just scratched the surface of the Willamette Valley, so here's to more time here. Cheers!

Do you have a favorite winery in Oregon? Do tell. Taking notes for my next trip!
