I’ve never worn white after labor day, unless I was forced to. Well, that and my wedding! (lol) Being raised in Texas, this was just a way of life! I actually wrote on the history of no white after labor day, but more and more this is becoming a thing of the past! I’ve been a fan of winter whites - you know those really pretty eggshells and creamy hues?! I love ‘em. To be honest, until I got married, never really wore white, because I thought it didn’t look good on me. I didn’t even buy my first pair of white jeans until less than 5 years ago!!

ANYWAY, I’m not sure I’ll ever be one to sport white in the fall and winter - it just feels weird to me; however, if you’re into it or you just want to to try it, one of my favorite ways to see it styled is with caramel colored hues, like this Striped Poncho Cardigan. It’s just easy chic! (one of my newer catch phrases that just means effortlessly cute.) I also love that the sweater is short sleeved, so you can wear it with a camisole or layer it with a long sleeve or maybe even a turtleneck sweater when it gets cooler!

What’s your take on whites in the winter? I have my eye on this “vanilla” colored coat from J. Crew!

P.S. I love my fashion posts, but they have just felt empty compared to my beauty or travel posts. Thoughts?! I’ve been doing less and less because of that, but they are my roots and I still love them. I hope y’all still like them too! I think y’alls favorites are my “art of versatility posts” -thinking I should schedule those more, rather than when I think of it! Keep your thoughts and ideas coming!
