Woohoo! December is here whether we are ready or not. I grew up with fake Christmas trees, but since being with Nick, we have always gotten real trees. I wrote a piece on where to chop down Christmas trees near Dallas last year, but since we moved, I wanted to write a piece on where to do so in Los Angeles!

We ended up going to Hagle Christmas Tree Farm, which is in Somis, CA. I donā€™t know if it is because people in LA are more apt to cut down their own Christmas tree or if it was because Thanksgiving was later this year, but we were laaaate getting a tree. They were so picked over and we only went less than 72 hours from them being open! I guess next year we should go on Black Friday or whenever they open.

That being said, I would 100% go back Hagle Christmas Tree Farm. We ended up picking them because they were an hour or less from our apartment AND they have a coupon you can sign up for online. This year (and I think most years) it grants you rights to any tree for $50. Because the lot was smaller and shorter this year, they actually extended the coupon to every one. I donā€™t think thatā€™s an every year thing though, so be sure to sign up on their website before their next season starts! (before Thanksgiving) We ended up getting a tree, a stand, some fresh garland, and a tree bag for around $100. Itā€™s cash or check only, but they also accept venmo!

We did land on Hagle Christmas Tree Farm, but only after I had done some research. I wanted to share my top picks, in case some are out of trees, or you want something closer to you! We live in Brentwood, near Santa Monica, so the time frames I give are in relation to that location.

Have a favorite place you cut down trees near LA? Let me know. Maybe we can visit them next year! Side note on my metallic pants. Theyā€™d be great for Christmas or even New Yearā€™s! I will say the sizing is a bit weird. For reference I have been wearing a size 28 in their jeans, but I think I need to size down to 27, because they stretch over timeā€¦ In these pants, I ordered a 28 and a 29. The 29 were way to big and the 28s were slightly tight. No stretch. Ultimately, I went with the 28s. Just keep that in mind when ordering. I really liked them because they are glam, but you could easily where a white t-shirt and sneakers and be totally cute!! Hope your Christmas season is going well. Will be here before we know it!!
