Happy new week! Which day do you count as the "first" day of the week? For me it is Sunday, but regardless of which you think it is, my week has started off with a BANG. Or should I say BLING;) I'm not sure what I planned to write about today, but it kind of all changed, because I got engaged on Sunday!

The main point of this shoot (when I took it) was to talk about how black distressed/ripped skinny jeans and how they are so trendy! When they first came out, I was kind of iffy on them. If you remember this post, I talked about how to wear holey jeans in the winter, as my knees get cold (lol). Anyway, I kept seeing them around and just HAD to have them. You can quite literally pair them with anything. Dress down a fancy top, or dress up a casual look, with booties.

How do you feel about them? I have definitely fallen for them. Or as my dad says, I just look like I fell down...

One of my favorite ways to wear black, ripped skinnies, is with a comfy sweater!  Long cardigans are my particular fave, because they accentuate my long torso. Have you heard of the brand Gentle Fawn? This was my first piece from the label and I am HOOKED. They actually made the dress I got engaged in! (and yes you can get it for 15% off + Free Shipping with my code "RiffraffRepLauren")

I feel super chic in this look, and was actually wearing it in College Station, while visiting my sister. I try to shoot looks when I visit other cities, so I get to use new backgrounds, so this was actually shot in CS! I was leaving a restaurant there, and got stopped by a lady. I thought she was going to ask me where I got my cute sweater, but instead she asked me where my boyfriend got his hair cut...LOL. He has a hard part and a well groomed beard and she wanted her husband to have that look. Speaking of husbands...

So, you see that design on the sweater? It looks an awful lot like the Greek Key. It's not quite as intricate as the real deal, but it is what led me to post this tonight. You see my sweet fiance (that feels weird to say, but I am happy about it) is Greek, so I thought it would be appropriate.

Anyway, have a marvelous week y'all! Oh and don't you worry, you can see more about my Big Fat Greek Engagement via my Instagram and Snap Chat (ElleSpann), and of course I'll be posting proposal pics on the blog, as soon as I get them.

Thanks for taking time out of your busy holiday schedule to stop by. You are the reason I do what I do!
