This post has been a long time coming and Iā€™m so excited to finally write about it! If youā€™re new around here, Primally Pure is one of my favorite nontoxic and cruelty-free beauty brands, made in the sunny state of California! They make a ton of great items, like my favorite deodorant , and you can get 10% off with discount code ELLEMULENOS. Todayā€™s Primally Pure topic is their beauty cream! They have two wonderful options and Iā€™m going to break them down for you today.

UPDATE: As of 2021, Primally Pure discontinued their beauty creams. The blue tansy one is now the soothing cream. The palmarosa peppermint one is now the plumping cream, though it doesnā€™t have palmarosa in it. Additionally, there is now a clarifying cream!

Primally Pure Blue Tansy Soothing Cream: (get 10% off with discount code ELLEMULENOS)

I tried this one first. I was (and still am) obsessed with Blue Tansy and all of its properties, so initially it was no contest for me. I wrote a whole post on benefits of blue tansy here. Iā€™ve used it for over a year.

  • BENEFITS:

    • combats inflammation (blue tansy)

    • soothes skin (blue tansy)

    • promotes elastic and balanced skin (oils)

  • COLOR / SCENT: blue, floral

  • INGREDIENTS: Tallow from grass-fed cows, pure emu oil, jojoba oil, blue tansy essential oil, geranium essential oil (everything is organic but the emu oil)

  • PRICE:

    • The size I have is the 1 oz. The price may seem a little scary since it is so small, but a little goes a longggg way, since they are oiled based. Blue tansy pretty expensive; therefore, this beauty cream costs more than the palmarosa + mint.

    • 1 oz $42

    • 2 oz $78

  • MY FAVORITE USAGE: I did start by using it on my face and am not against that, but my favorite way to use it is to put it on areas I have eczema. I get it on my feet, my wrists, and even sometimes my jawline. It soothes almost immediately!! It works well on bug bites / anything that itches too. Read my whole post on eczema here.

Primally Pure Mint Plumping Cream: (get 10% off with discount code ELLEMULENOS)

I first started using palmarosa and peppermint back in October (almost 4 months now), after reading that it helped with acne. I think that my personal problem with this cream is that I want to basically BATHE in it and consistently have to remind myself that you donā€™t need to use a ton of it. I feel like I need to do a whole post on palmarosa because, it has loads of benefits, so hold tight for that one ;)

  • BENEFITS:

    • combats acne causing bacteria (palmarosa)

    • calms and soothes skin (peppermint)

    • promotes elastic and balanced skin (oils)

  • COLOR / SCENT: white, citrus-mint

  • INGREDIENTS: Tallow from grass-fed cows, pure emu oil, jojoba oil, palmarosa essential oil, peppermint essential oil (everything is organic but the emu oil)

  • PRICE:

    • The size I have is the 1 oz. The price may seem a little scary since it is so small, but a little goes a longggg way, since they are oiled based. Both types are the same price.

    • 1 oz $32

    • 2 oz $62

  • MY FAVORITE USAGE: I have used it as a moisturizer, but my favorite way to use it is as spot treatment on my pimples / breakout areas! I especially love to put it on a zit if it accidentally popped, so it doesnā€™t spread more bacteria. Remember, try not to pick it at your face and leave it to the professionals ;) If you do use it as a moisturizer (blue tansy included!), I would recommend using it at night only. I prefer to use something lighter under my makeup.

SO, if I HAD to pick, I would choose the Primally Pure Mint Plumping Cream, but really you canā€™t go wrong with either. Like I said - I use both! I think the Palmarosa has just meant more to me right now as I battle acne and scarring. The Primally Pure Blue Tansy Soothing Cream has helped me greatly with eczema, but thatā€™s not as visible on my body. I have known people who prefer the blue tansy as a moisturizer, so I think it is really up to you! If you have acne I would 100% recommend the mint one! I love to use it with my NuDerma High Frequency Wand, but remember to use sparingly because it spreads. You need less than you think! At the very least, use it as a fab spot treatment. Grab either or both at 10% off with discount code ELLEMULENOS.

P.S. I really like the clarifying cream too. It has neroli and manuka honey which works wonders for acne. It has tallow and emu oil just like the other two and smells / feels wonderful.

And just to shout out to Primally Pure, all of their products are wonderful. I need to update it, but here are some of my favorite Primally Pure Products. Their face masks are my JAM right now! Use code ELLEMULENOS for 10% off and enjoy these clean skincare products!! If you are looking for a great body lotion, you have to check out Primally Pureā€™s body butter. So good!

P.S. Primally Pure released a holistic skincare guide and it is fantastic!! Worth every penny! Grab it for 10% off with code ELLEMULENOS.
