A while back (like May - oops!), several of y'all asked for more budget friendly cruelty-free and nontoxic products. I then asked what does budget friendly mean?? Most said under $25 vs under $50. Under $25 is hard IMO. Think about organic groceries vs non-organic. Organic is always going to be more expensive. Even at a restaurant, the freshest items (fish, veggies, etc) are a higher price point. There might be under $25 options, but if you are dividing out the cost per ounce, it's not even going to be a close battle of price when you compare more toxic than less toxic! Nevertheless, I'm going to bring you some budget friendly brands, because yes, I do understand a budget! BUT note that from what I've researched, the more budget friendly you go, the more likely that not all of the items in the brand's product line are on the nontoxic end of the spectrum. (this is true for the brands I list below) Be sure to find out what is best for you, read all labels, and inspect on a per item basis! As a reminder, I use EWG skin deep to find product ratings and try to use products that are a 2 or less. Some of the brands that I am featuring here have products that go above a 2.
I linked some products below that you can click through to! If it doesn't work, just refresh the page and it should perfectly! Or you can click the brands via the hyperlinks below the collage.
I'm going to start with brands that have a majority of products that are under $25:
Primally Pure (get 10% off your purchase w/code ELLEMULENOS)
These are also 2 good brands that fall into the "mostly under $50" category:
**Update on 9/18/18 -the brand Brittanie’s Thyme is budget friendly and meets requirements too!
And because I know I'm going to get asked, here's the brands that the bulk of my skincare regimen is made up of. Some fit in the budget range and some don't. I've had to find what works for my skin and these are where it's at right now! Point being, I'm not married to a specific price point, if something works, I'm there!. Now, within reason... you won't see me anytime soon buying something over $100 (though I realllly want to know if the May Lindstrom product is worth it!!). I am 100% willing to pay more for a quality product if I need to.
