Happy 2017, y'all! I hope you had a happy and safe NYE. We spent it with friends, had tacos, went to a black tie party, and had an adult sleepover! It was so fun and I'm sure it will be one of our favorite memories together. If you want to see my 2016 in review, check out my monthly highlight reel here!
One of my favorite things about New Years is the Pantone color of the year. Not going to lie, I was slightly disappointed in last year's rose quartz and serenity, but I see how they worked. Now for 2017, I could not have been more happy! This year, Pantone chose Greenery! It is a greenish yellow tone, that represents growth and newness...something that this world needs! I loved it when Pantone chose Emerald in 2013, but I think this will be even better!
Now, I know the hue I'm wearing isn't Pantone's definition of the actual color called greenery; however, I think that ALL green will trend this year. We already saw olive trend the past couple of years and I don't think it's going away. Green represents harmony, peacefulness, and nature. More of that, por favor! I may be using my artistic license, but hey, what can I say? Go GREEN this year.
I love green, because it can be a neutral, if you let it or a pop color if you want it to be. Pair it with darker colors like I did here, for it to be more on the neutral side. Wear it brighter, to make a loud statement. From pinks to navies or checks to cheetah print, you can't go wrong with green!
Here are some of my current favorite pieces. you can get the direct link to each, by scrolling through the widget below the graphic!
So what do y'all think of the color of the year? Even if it's not one of your faves, I hope you have your best year yet!
