Happy new year!! While I’m excited for the year to come, I’m also trying not to put too much emphasis on leaving 2020. It was an interesting 366 days (we had a leap year), it was definitely one where I learned a lot. I recapped last year along with some of my favorites and some of your favorites here. Yesterday I talked about Pantone’s color(s) for 2021 and my chosen word of the year. Anddd today I’m going to do my monthly usual and talk about things I’m loving right now. As per usual, everything is linked below the collage. Enjoy!!
Lunya Silk Scunchie. I bought this on a whim and it is very nice! It takes a little time to get used to how it is used, but basically you pull the elastic taut that is within the schrunchie and the silk tightens around your hair versus the elastic band. I like to use mine to sleep in. It isn’t meant to be used for a HIIT workout or anything like that. Bonus is that you can toss it in the washing machine to clean it every now and then. Traditional silk can’t be washed that way.
Safe and Fair Dark Chocolaty Drizzled Popcorn. I bought this whenever I started trying to eliminate as much dairy and gluten as I could. It is vegan and doesn’t contain peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, shellfish, fish, gluten and is non-gmo. It is also DELICIOUS. Paying for shipping is kind of annoying, but the products are great.
Mate the Label Organic Thermal Boxy Crop. I recently reviewed it here, but basically this is my favorite shirt right now. I wear it with the matching shorts or just pair it with jeans. It is so cute, yet also a great staple that goes with everything. Not to mention it is organic and ethically made. #worthit
Lululemon Belt Bag. My sister gave me this for Christmas and I am so glad! I have other belt bags, but none I really want to take on a hike or on a walk. This one is chic, but also something I can get a little dirt on, then throw in the wash.
Kora Organics Noni Glow Body Oil (c/o). I’ve never had a huge problem with dry skin, but LA is a dryer climate than Dallas, so I have had to adjust. I will often times get dry patches here and there that I want to not only help, but prevent in the future. I have a body butter I love, but prefer to use that at night. I love using this oil when I need some daily moisture, but want it a bit lighter. It works way better under jeans than my thicker cream.
Brooklinen Sheets. I just reviewed these here, but I’m so glad to have new sheets that are breathable and not scratchy. These are the best bang for your buck out there in my opinion. Most sheets like this are a lot more expensive.
Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center. One of my favorite books I read in 2020! It is heartwarming and a great overall story. Would recommend! Think romcom with more life lessons than you’d typically get. I also liked How to Walk Away by the same author - she briefly intertwined the two stories.
Bala Bars. Are these weights not the cutest? I’ve never purchased dumbells before, but after seeing this company on Shark Tank, I couldn’t get enough. I can finally do CorePower Sculpt at home or even short circuits. They also make really cute wrist weights and a power ring that emulates a kettlebell.
Retrospec Beaumont Step-Thru City Bike 7s in Blush (c/o). Nick and I received these right before we left for the holidays. They are so fun to ride and such a great way to move your body. The bikes are super nice and more budget friendly than other similarly made models. We can’t wait to ride these more in the new year.
Madewell Cali-Bootcut Jeans. THESE ARE MY FAVORITE JEANS RIGHT NOW. Honestly I can’t stop wearing them. I love the little crop above the ankle and find them so flattering. They go with heels, booties, sneakers, you name it. They are lightweight, stretchy, and oh-so-cute.
