Happy weekend, y'all! Hope you're enjoying it. This weekend I had ZERO plans and tried to milk it for what it was worth. I'm pretty sure I have something every weekend from here until October 28th (my wedding day).
I've tried to separate my posts for Le Soleil d'Or out, so you didn't get an overload. Hopefully that worked? If it didn't, then there must be a problem, because I could stare at these photos from Cayman Brac all day, every day! Just now joining my adventure? Catch up on all my previous island posts here: sunscreen tips, Le Soleil d'Or resort review, Golden Sun Cayman Farm review, Red Dress Round-Up, MinkPink Floral Romper, and DIY Sequin Floppy Hat.
As I have mentioned before, what makes Le Soleil d'Or unique (among many things), is that they are built around a 20 acre organic farm. Everything is farm and sea to table, so it's no wonder that one of their many activities to choose from is a cooking class! Nick and I decided to do a cooking class for lunch one day and it was THE BEST decision.
Their produce is a foodie's dream and their kitchen is state of the art. I'm pretty sure Nick was taking notes, for the kitchen he hopes we have one day. Now Nick and I both cook, so we were very comfortable with the class, but if you don't have much experience, don't worry! The chef is there to help you throughout it.
For our class, we made pasta from scratch, which solidified us including a pasta maker on our wedding registry. We have made homemade ravioli several times, but never actual pasta. The noodles, coupled with fresh veggies and a simple parmesan sauce, created the meal of our dreams.
If you're going to Le Soleil d'Or, it probably means you enjoy food (as well as sunshine), so be sure to sign up for a cooking class! You'll have lots of yummy memories to look back on. Sure, you can lounge in the sand and sun, but doing actual activities with your travel mates, like cooking, yield a more noteworthy experience!
My mom always says that I eat my way through my travels. Do you do the same? If so, you need to head to Le Soleil d'Or!
