So far in our lives, neither Nick, nor I have taken part in the "all inclusive" part of a resort. A contributing factor to that is that when we travel, we like to explore the area as a whole and make the most of our time there. I think there's a time and a place to opt for all-inclusive, but we aren't there yet;) For example, for our honeymoon we went to Saint Lucia. We stayed part of the time at Jade Mountain and the other part at Villa Piton. Both gave us experiences we will cherish forever, but both were very different. Another reason why I think we haven't gone the all inclusive route, is because we are such foodies, we like to try everything we can and our recent trip to Laguna Beach proved this point to be true!

If you read my post the other day, I talked about the hotel we stayed at - Monarch Beach Resort. It was awesome and we loved our time there! Another top resort around the area is the Montage Laguna Beach. We had heard great things about their restaurant Studio, so we decided to give it a try one night...and boy was it a good decision!! We ate just around sunset, so as the night went on, our food got better, but the film quality got worse. Oh well. Low quality picture, high quality food! I think my favorite dish was the Parmesan risotto with fresh shaved truffles. (It actually rivaled my favorite risotto ever, which was the pumpkin risotto at Jade Mountain's club restaurant.) If you're a foodie and are headed to Laguna Beach soon, I would definitely make a reservation at Studio, asap! It was our last night there, so it was pretty much the perfect ending to our trip! The only thing I'd do differently with our time at the Montage is that I wish Nick and I had explored their beach! It isn't private like Monarch's was, but it has cool stones and views. Next time;)

Another fun thing about the Montage is that it had all these little purple flowers EVERYWHERE - even in my cocktail! AND they just so happened to match my dress perfectly. Elaine Turner sent me this Landa Kaftan for my trip and it was the perfect flowy beach dress - you can dress it up or down (I actually wore it to work yesterday!) AND it's a kaftan, so it leaves room for your food baby;) The drape and flowiness of the dress makes it a dream! Oh and if this purple hue isn't your color, it actually comes in a couple other patterns and prints. Not to mention, it's on sale right now for under $100!  It will actually be the perfect wedding guest dress, and you can for sure wear it into the fall. (I'm wearing an XS).

Happy Tuesday, friends. As always, thanks for reading! In case you missed it, I'm teaming up with some other bloggers to celebrate the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and giving away a $1000 gift card!
