A year ago next month (April), purchased my beautiful my Senreve Maestra bag. (If youāre here for the discount code, use ELLEMULENOS for $50 off your Senreve purchase of $50 or more.) It is the biggest of the 3 Maestras offered - thereās the regular, midi, and mini. At the time, I was bringing my personal laptop to work everyday, and toting home documents, so it was perfect for my corporate lifestyle. It holds literally everything I need and then some. Since moving to Los Angeles, I have mainly been working from home and just use my envelope sleeve when I need to bring my computer. That being said, my Maestra hasnāt gotten as much use as it did prior to 6 months ago. I love the bag, but wanted something more practical for my SoCal living situation, so I decided to try the Mini Maestra.

The Mini Maestra is just what the doctor ordered! Not to be confused with the actual doctor bag that Senreve has ;) When I got the mini, I was looking for a smaller bag that could fit quite a bit in it, but one that was still feminine and somewhat dainty. I wanted to use it for a fancy night out, but also over the weekend. You know? I WANT IT ALL. Hah!
These are the factors which I included for the large Senreve Maestra Review, so I wanted to do the same for the mini!
Style - The Mini Maestra is a classic and practical bag. Not too big, but not too tiny, where it can barely hold your sunglasses and keys. I decided to go with more of a statement bag (mixed leather desert colorblock), because I honestly couldnāt decide if I wanted black or brown. My regular sized Maestra is sand and it goes well with a lot, but I didnāt want to buy the exact same color I already had. The colorblock I bought probably goes with less, but it still works with a ton of looks.
Versatility - I love that I can wear it on my shoulder, across my body, as a tote, and as a backpack! This is the same for all Maestra bags.
Durability - It is scratch, stain, water resistant!! There are also metal feet on the bottom, for extra protection.
Quality - Senreve bags are handmade in Italy. The bags are genuine leather and their liners are made of a tough microsuede.
Inside - The bag is obviously pretty, but it is function too! It has 7 interior compartments and can fit up to an iPad Mini / 10.5ā tablet!
Price - $695+ depending on leather you choose. Colorblocking adds cost, so mine is actually $975. Itās a lot. I understand. BUT. I still think itās a good deal for what you are getting. A designer tote (unstructured) costs about the same and most of those donāt include tax. Donāt get me wrong, I love my designer totes (I have a Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM and a Tom Ford), but the Senreve Maestra body as a Celine or Prada brand would cost double, even triple the Maestra price! ALSO, you know I love to look at Cost per Wear and I plan on wearing this bag forever! With its durability and style, itās pretty much a no brainer. Save a little money and use code ELLEMULENOS for $50 off!
Company - I am a Senreve Amabassador, so you better bet that I stand behind their product and mission! The name Senreve is derived from the french words for sense (sens) and dream (rĆŖver). Think sensible design, but dreamy like luxury! Their symbol is the Octopi. Much like the modern woman, it represents diversity, intelligence, insight, complexity, vision, and versatility. Additionally it is able to ājuggleā many things like work, home and life outside of both of those. They do it all and carry it all! In their Senreve of course ;)
My ācomplaintsā with the mini are pretty much the same I had with the biggest version. I used quotations, because I obviously still think the bag is worth it, so these are just small things I would suggest changing, but not a deal breakers. The closure is still sometimes a nuisance, as it isnāt as easy as a tote or zipper. Nick gets onto me because Iām not good about closing my bag anyway. For safety reason I should get better about this. #personalproblem The only other thing I mentioned regarding the Senreve is that the Maestra can be kind of top heavy when it isnāt fastened with the closure. Again, just close the bag, Lauren! I will say that I donāt really have this problem with the mini though, so that is great. Should still work on closing my bag though ;)

PRICE:
Thereās only a $100 difference between all three for the base level colors. In my opinion, if its price holding you back, I donāt think $100 +/- is that big of a difference at this point, so I would pick based on what you want. Now if you are looking at my color blocked version at $975 versus a solid black version for $695, I do see that as a big enough difference and would just recommend the solid if you are trying to be price conscious. Senreve also offers Quadpay, so you are able to split up the total into 4 separate payments if that works better for you as well.
Mini: $695+
Midi: $795+
Maestra: $895+
Those are the 2 biggest comparison factors in my opinion, as they are the same bag and have pretty much the same features! What do you think? Have any questions I didnāt cover? Happy to answer them! Maybe I need a midi to complete my full comparisonā¦ The Midi would probably make for a better āeverydayā purse for me than the Maestra at this time, though right now Iām pretty happy with my mini. It fits all my stuff and the things Nick pawns off on me to carry ;) Oh and if you do decide to bite the bullet and buy one, use discount code ELLEMULENOS for $50 off your purchase of $300 or more.
Hereās a video comparison of the bags so you can see them together. Enjoy!
P.S. Shot this look at Hall Wines during a day trip to Napa, as part of our Amador Country trip last month. We love Hall wines and are members of their Walt Club, so we always make it a point to stop by! We love having a picnic in their member area!
