Almost a year ago (October 2020), Senreve decided to work their magic and update the beloved Aria Belt Bag. The Aria happens to be one of my favorites / most used bags in my closet. That being said, Iā€™ve always loved it; however, the update they made have me falling in love with the purse even more.

Keep reading to see how they have changed the bag for the better. Use discount code ELLEMULENOS for $50 off you Senreve purchase of $250 or more.

Iā€™m not shy regarding my love the Aria. I styled it for you 4 ways here - its versatility is unmatched. I compared it to its sister style, the Coda here. And you can see all the different ways Iā€™ve incorporated it into my outfits here. The only edit I would have ever dreamed of making to the bag is for it to have inner loops. My most frequent uses of the Aria are as a shoulder bag, be it with the belt as the strap or using a chain strap. The original version allowed for these stylings, but werenā€™t fool proof. You couldnā€™t use the belt as the strap on the outside loops of the bag, as it wouldnā€™t lay correctly. You could fit the chain there, but it would awkwardly tilt forward. You could place but the chain or the belt strap on the inside of the bag; however, you had to hold the purse whenever opening it versus leaving it on your shoulder, as the clutch portion of the bag might fall. Basically if you did the latter, the open bag was just hanging unsecured, which isnā€™t ideal in most situations.

ABOUT THE ARIA BELT BAG

Just for reference, here are some stats about the Aria that havenā€™t changed. These are tried and true qualities. If youā€™re wondering which one to buy, they donā€™t sell the old version anymore, so it really isnā€™t a decision you have to make. This post is more for those who are thinking of upgrading their bag to the new style and to notify buyers who might see the old version on re-sale sites.

NEW ARIA BELT BAG UPDATES

When I was learned of the updates being made, I couldnā€™t find a full list of changes other than the price increase and loops being added. They did mention hardware changes, but werenā€™t specific. These updates are from my own research, so I might be missing some. These are all I could notice though!

  • Price changed from $395 to $445 ($50 increase, note that some styles are more expensive, but were always more expensive. Everything increased across the board $50)

  • Added inner loops

  • Front pocket slightly bigger

  • Magnetic closure slightly bigger

  • Updated belt (from 59.5ā€ ā€”> 63ā€ and from 20 holes ā€”> 29 holes )

Want to see the details in motion? Watch my YouTube video below. I cover everything here, plus go into more detail as to why I love the Aria and a chain strap comparison.

Overall Iā€™m super happy with these updates to the Aria belt bag and gladly paid the price increase, because the inner loops are so clutch!! So worth the $50 extra in my opinion. Now if theyā€™d only add inner oops to the envelope clutch! I use this mainly as my computer sleeve, but have been known to add a chain strap to make it a shoulder bag. They did recently release a mini envelope clutch and included inner loops on that one, so perhaps there is hope.

Donā€™t forget you can use code ELLEMULENOS and get $50 off your Aria belt bag (or any Senreve order over $250 for that matter). Takes it down to the OG price too ;) Happy shopping!
