This morning, as I was driving to work, I heard on the radio that we have already surpassed the heat from last summer. What? Yes. Not just in Dallas, either! They said that some areas even felt like they are above 120 degrees Fahrenheit. I am a summer-loving gal, but no pool can keep you chilled in that kind of heat!

You know to care for your skin in the sun (read my recent post on Sunscreen Tips here), but do you know how to care for your hair? Do you even know that the sun affects your hair?

Similar to when you get a sunburn, sun exposure can cause moisture in your hair to disappear, leaving it dry and brittle. This is bad for any hair, but especially if you color your locks. I don't, but that doesn't make it any less important. In fact, most women do color their hair. It's trendy and I don't see it going away any time soon.

Dying or coloring your hair dries out your hair, even when it's not the summer months, you should be taking care of your hair, every way that you can. I get my hair cut by Amber Ingram Smith at Hair by Charlie in Dallas. She, as well as the rest of the hair stylists at that studio are known for the color and the fact that they also take care of your hair and try to restore as much nutrients as possible to your hair. Once you leave the salon, it's on you. So what do you use?

Joico recently launched K-PAKĀ® Color Therapyā„¢ Luster Lockā„¢ and it is the answer to your sun dried hair's plea! It repairs, adds shine in all the right ways, and gives a great luster affect. Worried if it will work on your hair type? It is actually made for every type of condition. From fine to thick and naturally dry, to oily, it can work for you. Color Therapy Luster Lock can make your hair up to 9x strong, even in the delicate, wet phase. But, how?

Joico's  K-PAKĀ® Color Therapyā„¢ Luster Lockā„¢ has a Bio-Advanced Peptide Complex, which include keratins and proteins that repair hair from the inside out. It also has a QuadraBond Peptide Complex that have essential oils to replenish lost moisture and super-polymers that lock it in. Still on the fence? Tori Spelling raves about this product, as she uses it on her newly died hair.  Case and point, there. Also, you can check out these before and after videos as more visible proof!

Do you experience hair dryness, especially in the summer months? What do you use to nourish your hair?
