Hello friends! Did you hit this snooze the AM or did you hit the gym? I'm just now getting back into a regular workout routine. It makes me feel AMAZING, but it also makes me adjust my eating habits. I typically eat every couple of hours anyway, but when I add in working out 5ish days a week, I go from just getting hangry occasionally, but being ravenous! One way to "feel more full" is to incorporate more protein into your diet! Protein is essential to consume after working out, because it helps your muscles repair, maintain, and grow. You can find protein from a lot of sources...eggs, meat, nuts, eggs, etc. Those are all well and good, but I'm a foodie and I like flavor and variety. Enter ProYo, to save the day!
ProYo is a high protein low fat ice cream that you can now find at all Kroger Stores (where I went!), as well as Kroger banner stores. In addition to being high in protein, it also contains healthy fats and carbs - there's nothing worse than treating your body to a work out, then ruining it, by eating junk. ProYo let's you indulge without the guilt! I know, I know. You're probably saying "but what does it taste like?!" Honestly y'all, their product is so good! I have been using it for smoothies and smoothie bowls, but the other night I grabbed the dutch chocolate out of the freezer and enjoyed some straight from the (almost) pint of it! I love these 3 flavors so much, I can't wait to try the other options! On top of its tasty goodness, it is considered a good source of pre-biotic fiber, is low-glycemic, rBST and RBGH free, soy-free, gluten-free, is non-GMO, and doesn't have any artificial ingredients! ALL THE PRAISE HANDS!
With summer literally around the corner, the heat in Texas is already rolling in. As it gets warmer and our amount of clothing lessons, it makes me want to eat all of the cold and creamy treats. I'm so glad ProYo came out with their high protein low fat ice cream, because that means I have one less guilty pleasure!
Want to try ProYo High Protein Low Fat Ice Cream for yourself? Here's a buy one get one free coupon! (now through 7/7/17, while supplies last) Want to know where it is available near you? Use this handy dandy store locater! If you try a different flavor than I did or make a cool recipe with it, tag me on instagram, so I can see! I am always looking for new things to try.
