When I saw these Marc Fisher Unique Ankle Booties on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I knew I had to have them. I included them on my top shoe picks from the NSale here. Ankle boots are on the rise trend wise and though Iāve appreciated them on the scene, I havenāt been able to find a pair I loved the look of until now. I have a black pair of platform ankle boots that Iāve been wearing for the past 5 years, but they arenāt that up-to -date look I was wanting. Ahhh I still wear them though, which is why I decided to go with the grey hue in the unique booties! I noticed the grey is sold out in my pair, but hereās a very similar pair/same brand and thereās grey in stock!
You know how there are some things that you like the idea of, but arenāt really sure if you actually need? These boots were that for me. They represent a direction I want my style to go, but not necessarily a place Iām currently at. Sooo did I āneedā them? The answer is no. BUT I wanted them and I was able to style them multiple ways to not only stretch my style, but basically show that they are versatile and would get wear in my closet.
Why ankle boots? They are a really nice add to your boot collection and in this specific case, they can dress things up the most! (I have some flat, suede ankle boots and no. Those would not dress up anything!) I love my suede over the knee boots, but they tend to dress an outfit down, whereas this smooth leather heel is basically a pump reincarnated. (There are some OTK boots that do dress an outfit up, but I donāt have any of those. The suede I own dresses it a bit down, even with a heel.) Another reason ankle boots are great is that they can be worn year-round, therefore getting more action, lowering cost per wear! #yesplease
SO, here are a several ways to style them! I usually just try to create different looks, but today I tried really hard to create different levels of looks, ie casual, business casual, and formal. Howād I do?!
Up first I have my favorite pair of cut-offs and my new summer sweater! This is a fun āgoing out lookā for a Texas fallā¦ you know, because it could be October and still 92 degrees?! You get the breathability that you need, but give off fall vibes you deserve with your boots and sweater! Side note - I bought this sweater for our recent trip to LA! I love that it is loose knit and ācoolā. A cream sweater is a great wardrobe add!
Next we have some of my favorite black jeans! I love the boot cut, kick flare vibe and how they look with the ankle booties. You could easily pair it with a crisp t-shirt, but I dressed it up with one of my favorite blouses. Would be a perfect business casual look!
Madewell Cali Jeans (currently on sale for $55 w/code VERY RARE) | Madewell Courtyard Hem Blouse (almost sold out, similar here and right here) | Marc Fisher Unique Ankle Booties (similar pair here)
Banana Republic Dress (Old, similar here, and here and in white here) | Marc Fisher Unique Ankle Booties (similar pair here)
Last but not least, we have a formal look, aka business woman here to get work done! This dress is one of my favorite Black Friday finds from Banana Republic about 5 years ago. Needless to say it is not in stock, but I found a couple similar pieces.
Which was your favorite? Do you have ankle boots? Whatās your favorite way to style them?? An obvious way I didnāt include is with skinny. jeans! Just cuff the ankle a bit (if they are long) and call it a day!
P.S. They also look FANTASTIC with flare jeans!
