Hey guys! Me again, with my favorite buzzword: V E R S A T I L I T Y!! This isn't a new series for me, so if you want to see ant of my other Art of Versatility posts, click here!
When I was packing for Belize, the main thing I thought about was versatility, with TBH isn't what most people consider when packing for a beach vacation or anniversary trip. (sorry Nick! lol) But, we went at the end of October and 1) that is peak season for sweaters 2) it is the brink of resort season. I wanted to dress in a way that showed you how you could wear even something super beachy during the holiday season - I know there are some of you lucky ducks who Christmas in Hawaii or maybe you just live in Florida where it doesn't get cold and you want to dress for the weather and season? Anyway, this outfit is for you!
Show Me Your Mumu is the queen of resortwear (and of 20 something girls all across the globe). Their product is nice quality and made in America, so it has a higher price tag. How to justify that?? Versatility and cost per wear!
This wrap skirt is utter perfection. It has spring and summer written all over it - just pair it with a crochet cream tank and you're good to go. But don't stop there!
First I paired it with a crop tee for a casual, monochromatic look. Do this and you will get that laid back, beach vibe. Second I paired it with gold sequins. This definitely dressed it up and gave it a more holiday look. It has those creamy-gold undertones, that I love, so I thought this would be my favorite in the beginning... I think my favorite would have to be the last one though -the burgundy lace crop top! It is kind of unexpected because the maroon pops in the skirt are very understated, but they just bloom, thanks to my pairing!
Next time you think you have nothing to wear, try pairing something in an unusual way! And if you still "have nothing to wear" then just be sure and shop smart and look for the most versatile pieces!! Happy clothes hunting:)
