YOU GUYS. So much has happened this week. First and foremost, I changed my blog name and theme!! What do you think? I'm still trying to decide what I need to do with my handle...LMulenos? ElleMulenos? LMentsofStyle? LaurenMulenos? I just don't know! Nothing will really change with the blog content - you'll still get what I am posting now; however, I am probably going to give y'all a little more lifestyle content!
So, what else? We bought a wine bar with some friends! This was definitely not a sporadic decision. We have been contemplating it and decided to take the plunge. It is currently open, but we are going to remodel and rebrand. I will let you know when we have our grand opening!
Anddd if you follow me on any social media, on top of all that happiness, I contracted an upper respiratory infection this week and it put me out so bad! I stayed home about a day and a half and just felt crummy. I'm pretty sure I had sinus pressure EVERYWHERE. On top of that, I lost my taste - I couldn't even enjoy a toast on the night our business was official! This is why I missed a blog post this past week - sorry! I have just been trying to listen to my body more this year and I've actually been doing a good job!
Okay, so if you came here for the fashion, I'll get to that now ;) I am obsessed with Show me your Mumu. It travels well, doesn't show wrinkles, and can easily be dressed up or down. It is a little pricey, but it is made in the U.S.A. and is super versatile. To me, it is worth it! One of my other favorite things about it is that they choose several prints per collection, then spin it out into other silhouettes...think rompers, skirts, tops, you name it! Okay so now to the good part! I have been doing "The Art of Versatility" for a while now - I want to encourage rewearing looks different ways, but understand that not everyone can visualize it. I think this is my 5th one that I can recall? Not sure! They are honestly kind of annoying to shoot because of outfit changes. Now I could have styled this little number a lot more differently, but I wanted to specifically talk about shoes! Yes they can make or break your outfit, but they can also change your look! Want to take this dress into the fall or just want to make it look more edgy? Wear over the knee boots! Going somewhere where you aren't sure of the attire? This dress is a little nicer, but you can easily dress it down with sandals (this would look awesome with gladiators or even knee high gladiators!). Heading to brunch or a shower? Wedges are the way to go!! See what I mean? This dress could easily help you through all your functions these coming seasons.
