Trend Alert: High Necks
American Eagle High Neck Dress (on sale for $25!! I'm wearing a M) | Marc Fisher Annie Wedges | Baublebar Crispin Drops | Karen Walker Number One Sunglasses (knock off version here)
I know I've been bouncing around on topics lately (I switched over to lifestyle March 1!), but as promised, I will always root everything in fashion and report on anything I'm liking and seeing...which isn't always one in the same;) Today I'm talking about the high neck trend, which we saw really come to life last summer, in the swim category. (still obsessed with the black high neck bikini I featured here) I noticed that this spring that trend has trickled into actual apparel, from formal and fancy, to casual and lounge-wear! (Remember this dress?!)
I figured that some of y'all would want more of this trend or desire to start incorporating it into your looks, so here ya go! I did a new type of collage, so let me know if you like it or don't like it! With this one, you should be able to click on the "+" next to the image and it will take you to the direct link!
So, what do you think? Personally, I love it! I was never really into the really low cut items, so this is right up my alley. I will say that when they make high necks, they typically make the armholes lower, so invest in some pretty bralettes! I always love Aerie's. I also have a strapless nude bra that has a lace on the back straps that I like to wear, because it looks pretty!
I did give y'all lots of different options, but my favorite is the LBD I featured here! It stands alone perfectly, but would be great with a denim jacket and booties, when fall weather hits. The one thing to be careful of with this trend, is the apparel silhouette. If something is high neck and super billowy, you're going to get swallowed up in it. Don't worry about traditional swing dresses...I mean more fabric than that! Just something to be mindful of, to keep you looking your best! Enjoy!
