I used to do trend alerts a lot, but have kind of stepped back. I think it is partially because I have am often a late adopter to new trends, but also because Iām trying to focus on more basics and versatile clothing. Snakeskin patterns have been gaining steam the past year or two. Do we have T Swift to thanks? Not sure but Iāve always been a fan of a good slithering print!
Nick and I cleaned out our closets with the Kon Marie method this past January and one of the (many) things I got rid of was a pair of snake print flats. They were from Target and Iām prettttty sure I had them since 2008 or something ridiculous. I still wore them occasionally, but they were kind of beat up (ya know 10 years of beating up!) so I decided to get rid of them. That being said, I like a good snakeskin because they are a fun neutrals. Not sure it will get as popular or as neutralized as leopard print, but it is for sure on its way.
In many ways, Iād say snake print is more professional than leopard spots. It is usually more diluted of a print and can slip on by, pun intended ;) Because snakeskin is trending right now, thereās actually a lot more options and color pops than per usual, which is super fun! I did a round-up for you, so you could find lots of different ways to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe! Just click on any image below and youāll be re-directed to the website it is on. If the collage isnāt showing up, just refresh the page and it should appear.
The easiest way to take part in the trend, in my opinion, is to don some snakeskin shoes. Like I mentioned above, it is basically a new neutral and will go with most everything. I think my favorite pair are these mules, but these slide sandals are pretty cute too! As of late I donāt really wear super loud colors, but I LOVE this green snake print blouse that also comes in a skirt and dress! Also Iām not really a belt bag person, but I LOVE this one. SO freaking cute.
Are you sporting this python print?! What your favorite piece you own?! If youāre looking to add a trend to your wardrobe, this one is safe and easy to include! This snakeskin denim jacket would be perfect for this spring and summer!
