It could just be baader meinhof phenomenon, but it feels like so many couples are having twins these days. I know that multiples are very niche, but I truly didnāt realize how little is out there for twin parents until I became a twin mom myself. Triplet and quad parents, Iām SO sorry, because thereās even less for you. All that to say, I know that it is more uncommon than common, but with the amount of twins around nowadays, you would think there would be more of a twin product offering available. You find out very quickly that everything from insurance policies to buying clothes, takes a little bit more effort with two babies.
Luckily twin birth announcements donāt have to be hard. Keep reading to see our newborn photoshoot, baby cards and of course where we got them!

Itās no secret - I love Minted. We used them for our wedding invitations and have used them every year since for Christmas cards, Valentineās Day cards, puzzles, and more. When the time came to create our baby announcements to family and friends, I looked no further than Minted. I was relieved to see that they had a plethora of twin birth announcements, not just one or two. And good designs at that!

I chose the Twinsies design, but the decisions didnāt stop there. Our design was the traditional 5x7, but it also comes in post card, petite, and even a grand size. Of course you can edit the front design with the specifications of your babies, but donāt forget about the back. You can leave it blank, but I chose to include a picture of all four of us. Sure thereās a chance that you and a friend may use the same design (especially in the twin community - hah!) , but I love that you can truly make it your own without a custom price tag.
My sister is currently using Minted for wedding and there are truly endless options, especially when it comes to addressing and other details like envelope liners. These of course apply to birth announcement cards as well!
Quick little shoutout to my friend Melanie of Moonbeams Photo for taking these pictures when the babies were only 8 days old! She is truly a great lifestyle photographer and shoots everything from weddings to weekend wanderingsā¦ and of course babies. I shared more about her here. There were so many sweet photos from this day, choosing these few was so hard! Melanie did a beautiful job of capturing our new family and I canāt recommend her enough.
Thanks so much for reading! If youāre from the twin community, welcome! Iām hoping to have a lot of detailed posts up soon about the experience from birth and beyondā¦when I can find the time that is ;) XOXO
