Happy Sunday! I'm writing this from Seattle today, as Nick and I are here to see his family and take our engagement photos. As you know, Valentine's Day is next weekend. Are you ready? (see my DIY Valentine's Day Guide here, for more ideas)
I am all about inner beauty (did you see my campaign with Target on Friday? It's about loving your body, as is. Check it out here and here), but sometimes makeup is just fun. Quite honestly, I don't know much about makeup. I know my makeup routine and I really don't stray from it. You see those lip glosses in my pocket? They were either given to me or a free sample. It took me a while to even get into anything other than chap-stick, as I was on the dance team in high school and red lipstick was my normal Friday night uniform. My makeup is either from the drug store, or the budget friendly at Sephora, or Ulta, with the exception of my powder, which is from Motives. With that being said, my favorite lipstick right now is NYX -Butter and High Voltage. I also like Nars velvet matte pencils, and Clinique Chubby Sticks.
...And that's all she wrote! Luckily, I'm surrounded by people who do know a thing or too about makeup and lipstick. As a blogger, you get gifted a lot of items, so as a reader, it is sometimes hard to know when someone is truthful. I always strive to give you my honest opinion and tell you when it is gifted, with a c/o; however, I feel like with clothes it is easy. With makeup it is harder to do so, but Ada does an amazing job. You know without a doubt whether she likes something or not and whether it's worth your money.
The makeup industry has so many different brands and price points, how the heck are you supposed to know? Whenever I have a question, or need makeup advice, I go to Ada.
