Welp, it's October and in Dallas that means it is Partners Card season! For those new to Dtown or those who have never heard of Partners Card, it's the signature fundraiser for The Family Place. The Family Place is an organization in Texas that empowers victims of family violence by providing housing, counseling, and other services to assist men, women, and children on their path to recovery and successful living. Most importantly, it is free of charge. That's where Partners Card comes in!
You can purchase a Partners Card for $70 from now until October 21st by:
-calling the Partners Card Hotline at 214.443.7754
-visiting www.partnerscard.org
-download the Partners Card App
When you buy a Partners Card, you receive a 20% off discount to use at more than 750 stores around the city, from October 27th-November 5th. You get discounts at stores like J. Crew, so you can get my dress for 20% off! (don't worry, you get a directory that lists everything) But that's not the best part...the best part is that 100% of what you pay for your Partners Card goes to The Family Place and is used to make real impacts in our community. Domestic violence occurs to both men and women, but 1/3 Texas women have experienced violence with their intimate partner. Think about 1 out of ever 3 women you see during the day...wow.
Sometimes people don't really know what to do or even how to help - that's what it's great to find something to support like The Family Place. This time of year is filled with giving, so try giving to an organization like TFP. Partners Card makes it easy. You are usually buying Christmas gifts and such this time of year anyway - you might as well do it with a discount while doing good!
