What to Wear in Seattle

What to Wear in Seattle

Levi's Denim Trucker Jacket | Madewell Split Neck Tee | Madewell 10" Jeans in Hank Wash | Loafers | Daniel Wellington Watch | BaubleBar Earrings | Cuyana Small Carryall Tote (c/o)

I have now been to Seattle twice and each time it has never rained, so I feel like I'm not a credible source for this topic, but I'll try. Hah! I have been in February and in May - two vastly different weather conditions for Texas, but not so different in Washington.

So, before I even begin to pack, I glance at the weather, as I'm sure you do as well.  The latest trip it was beautiful and in the low 60's, with lots of sun. Total dream weather! Here's some of my

-Jackets. This is my number one, because I am such a Texas girl and get cold in the low 60's! When we were there in the winter, I definitely took a winter coat -you need it, especially if you're by the water. Go ahead and bring a scarf, too! This time around, I only brought this denim jacket and a moto jacket and was fine. Pairing them with lightweight sweaters in May was perfection, which leads me to my next point.

-Layers. Bring good basics that can be worn together or apart. As the day goes on it will get warmer, plus if you're walking around a lot and doing touristy things, chances are you'll get warm. This seems obvious, but is especially necessary when your near to water. The weather has a mind of its own!

-Sneakers. Yes please! Go ahead and add some workout clothes too! Seattle is such an active city, you'll blend right in, with the athleisure trend. My favorite tennis shoes to bring are Air Max Theas. They are cute, quality, and keep your feet feeling good.

-Interchangeable Looks. We were in Seattle Friday-Monday and I only bought 3 pair of pants and only wore two! It's kind of weird, but I don't ever bring "nicer" clothes here. I may have a "nicer looking outfit", but never dress and such. It isn't the vibe and for sure isn't necessary, which is actually kind of nice!

-Rainy Day Wear. Like i said, it hasn't rained when I'm there, but I still come prepared! I bring a lightweight raincoat and make sure that I have shoes I don't mind getting wet.

So, here's what I packed for this trip! I linked everything in the widget below, just scroll through and click to be taken to each retailer! I also listed everything out below the widget, too!

1 pair of light wash jeans - my new jam!

1 pair of dark wash jeans - they go with everything your light denim goes with and more!

1 pair of black jeans - you can dress them up or down!

1 denim jacket - Always a classic.

1 moto jacket - gives effortless "cool" vibes.

1 pair of loafers - an easy way to "chic" up a look, while still being practical.

2 pair of sneakers (1 and 2) - 1 for working out and 1 for exploring the city.

1 pair of flat mules - perfect for the airport!

1 lightweight sweater - you can wear alone or with a jacket!

2 sweatshirts (1 and 2) - for lounging and plane rides.

2 cardigans (1 and 2)- easy layering options for the daytime.

1 button down shirt - Easy breezy.

3 tee shirts (1 and 2 and 3) - can be worn alone, with cardis, or jackets.

1 overnight bag - my carryon!

1 suitcase - duh.

1 crossbody purse - mine zips up and is big enough to carry my camera, but not too big.

2 pair of socks - for working out and walking around.

6 pair of underwear - there is no greater tragedy than running out of undies on a trip.

3 bras - 1 for working out, 1 strapless, 1 regular.

Ā

I hope this helped you pack! Have a great trip:)
