Where to Stay in San Antonio: Hotel Contessa

Exactly one month ago, I had the pleasure of going to San Antonio and staying at Hotel Contessa, for a little weekend getaway! I had been to San Antonio several times, be it with my family, through school, or later on for formals in college; however, I hadn't done San Antonio to just do San Antonio, if that makes sense. When I think of SA, The Alamo obviously comes to mind; however, The River Walk does too! I was so excited to go, because I wanted to learn more about the city, than just those two attractions. Of course, I didn't want to just leave out those 2 landmarks, so that brings me to Hotel Contessa.
Hotel Contessa is known for its luxury suites, right on The River Walk, which is a major plus. You valet your car and walk in the front doors, and keep on walking straight through, to find yourself in San Antonio's beautiful backyard, known as The River Walk. So of course its location is spot on, but its amenities are too. It has a rooftop pool and gym, in addition to its restaurant and bar, Las Ramblas. Their cocktails and apps are my FAVORITE. They have this jalapeƱo infused tequila drink that is right up my alley! The design and architecture is Texany, yet modern (I wanted to take that bull painting home with me!) and the floors are to die for. Did you SEE this instagram post? If none of those things strike your fancy, they also have an in-house spa that is sure cure what ails you.
So would I stay here again? Absolutely! Hotel Contessa's only downfall is that it is 4.5 hours away from my apartment...but, I suppose that is also what makes it a good getaway! I'm already dying to go back, because my trip was so short! When I travel, I like to get the most out of my stay, so I tend to jam pack my hours. A good place to sleep is crucial, so I can rest up and hit the ground running the next day! Hotel Contessa was the perfect home away from home.
