Time just doesn't slow down, does it?! Here I am trying to finish my San Francisco series with y'all, and now I have my Bachelorette party/Austin series to begin, as well as my San Antonio series, which was shot this weekend! On top of that, today is exactly 2 months of away from when Nick and I will get married. So little time! (Get it? Like the old Mary-Kate and Ashley show?;)
Back to the topic at hand...San Francisco! If you're new to this chapter of my blog, then you can catch up with my previous SA posts here: The Perfect Tourist Outfit, Where to Get Coffee in San Francisco, and Top 10 Packing Hacks.
Nick and I were able to visit San Fran this July and his family was able to join us! While we were there, we stayed at Hotel Carlton, which is just the coolest, little place! It's the perfect location (um, located walking distance from Mr. Holmes Bakehouse. Don't know what that is? Read here!) and is such a neat concept. It's "theme" if you will, is about all cultures. They have decor that represents everyone and their specific nations. Even in the rooms, they let you know where your housekeeper is from and a short little biography. It makes you feel connected to them, without ever seeing their face! Part of what makes America great, is that we all bring different things to the table and I love that Hotel Carlton celebrates that.
As a boutique hotel in Lower Nob Hill, you would think that they were exuberantly extravagant. And while they were very well decorated and such, they were very eco-friendly. It is so refreshing to stay at a place that cares as much about its people as it does the earth. Warm and fuzzy feelings, anyone?
The photos of me, are located right outside the hotel. Isn't that classic black and white overhang dreamy? The dress I'm wearing complements it perfectly, I think! Speaking of my dress, it is a little on the pricey side, but is the definition of California casual. I can wear it to dinner, brunch, the beach, or even work, and be considered dressed for the occasion. It doesn't get better than that!
Have you ever traveled to San Francisco? Next time you go, be sure to check out Hotel Carlton! I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
