And just like that, 2019 is over. It truly is a rollercoaster - starts slowly, makes its way up the hill, and then races full speed to a close. This year was an interesting one, but I truly felt like I was stretched, growing and learning along the way. I feel like my posts and creativity were better than they have ever been and I canāt wait to continue LMoS thanks to you! Hereās a recap month-to-month of 2019ā¦ highs and lows!!
JANUARY
To be honest, I donāt remember how we rang in 2019ā¦LOL. The beginning of the year seems SO long ago. We started with a trip to Boulder, CO. My first time staying in Colorado!! Another big thing was a took my last birth control pill. I had been toying with quitting them since August of 2018, but chickened out. More on this to come! I also got a new camera this month and it really changed my work. (Canon 6D)
FEBRUARY
We went to Mexico City for the first time and it was so magical! Such amazing culture and food. Also traveled for more than 48 hours with a carry on for the first time. This month I also begin interviewing with a company in Barbados and in Baltimore, MD. The first seeds of moving were being sewn! Regarding disappointment, we thought we were going to get a house and a yard for Dino, but someone else ended up getting it. Again, wasnāt meant to be!!
MARCH
We went on our yearly Napa trip and stayed for longer than ever. It was fantastic. I also got to visit the Juice Beauty Farm in Sonoma and meet Karen, the founder. Was a dream come true!
APRIL
I got a job offer on the spot and they wanted to pay me more than what I asked for. It shouldddd have been a red flag, but Iāll get to that later. Also this month I began the Style for Every Body series, which is one of my favorites EVER. I also brought up hemorrhoids first the first time, which have plagued me for awhile.
MAY
Officially left my job with the Dallas Cowboys and began my new job. I also shared my Senreve bag that I bought the month prior, which later led me to be a Senreve Ambassador! I also started my Women in the Workplace series, that has become one of my biggest joys today, as it is so relate-able.
JUNE
We got to go to Mexico with some of our best friends and I experience my first all-inclusive resort experience. I also got to take my mom on a birthday trip thanks to my blog, which I hadnāt been able to do before. I also started getting into podcasts and audiobooks, which I STILL LOVE. Thankful my new commute got me into them. This was also the biggest month as a Primally Pure ambassador! I love sharing this brand with you and canāt wait to share new products in 2019! Use code ELLEMULENOS for 10% off.
JULY
Welp. This month I was let go. It also was the beginning of the worst breakout Iāve ever had and am still recovering. It wasnāt all bad though! We had a wonderful 4th of July trip with our friends and I became a CorePower Yoga Ambassador, which has literally kept me sane since losing my job. This month I also got a Tiktok! Yay video content!
AUGUST
I turned 28 and got to spend my birthday weekend in Napa, as I accompanied Nick to a work trip in SF, followed by a weekend in LAā¦where Nick proceeded to get a job offer. He accepted!
SEPTEMBER
We moved to Los Angeles. Mic Drop!
OCTOBER
We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary with our first fire evacuation in LA. Donāt worry, we also celebrated with a trip to Carmel-By-The-Sea!
NOVEMBER
Nick turned 30, so it was birthday month all month long. We had dinner at Nobu - so good!! Also took a rip to Paso Robles. We celebrated out first Thanksgiving in Los Angeles and my family came up to enjoy it with us.
DECEMBER
I got over a week off for Christmas for the first time since college. My first job out of college, I was able to take a week off, but when I was at the Cowboys, I couldnāt take off at all! Sure I donāt have a job still, so thatās the reason why; nevertheless, it was nice to relax! We spent the Christmas season in Seattle. My skin has also started to * knock on wood * HEAL! Hereās to hoping for clear and less inflamed skin in 2020!
