If you ask any major designer what inspires them, travel will usually be their main inspiration or at least a contributing factor. It makes sense, right? The best patterns and hues often come straight from mother nature herself. (I mean, just think back to the banana leaf trend this past summer!) Today's Southern Elle Style Shop Share and the sisters of Kast Fitness Wear agree with that form of creativity!
Kast Fitness Wear was formed by sisters Summer Peters and Amber Withycombe, after a family trip to Brazil. It's hard not to see that, if you look at all of their fun and carefree colors, something that is very popular in Brazil.
Still hesitant? Don't worry, these leggings' beauty are definitely thread deep. They are some of the most comfy bottoms I have ever worn. These are their "light weight" leggings, but I have another pair (that I can't wait to show you) that are the "extra light weight" and are equally as awesome. To make their pants, Kast uses Supplex, a blend of Polyamide and Spandex. If you try them out, you won't even care what they are made of...you'll just ask for another pair! What makes this fabric blend special is that it has proven to be one of the best performance fabrics out there. From moisture absorption to durability, this fabric can do it all.
So how does the business work? Kast works directly with their factory in Brazil, which remains their design inspiration location. Summer runs the HQ in Maui, while Amber holds down the fort in Texas. Surprisingly enough, Texas has the most locations you can purchase Kast from, than any other state. I guess everything really is bigger in Texas ;)
