Spring Suede

I'm not going to lie - I still follow the "no white after labor day or before Easter rule". There are some other "rules" that go along with that one, like don't wear suede in the spring and summer. Now, that "saying" is something that I no longer follow. In the past, I may have tucked away my suede, textured shoes, but no more, my friends!
Honestly, I think it was a "thing" you did previously, because it just made sense. I feel like it used to be mainly used on boots and such, so packing them away just coincided with the seasons.
In today's day and age, people are skirting the rules and doing whatever they want with fabrics and textures. I can't say I blame them. In fact, I appreciate it!
The first time I noticed I was doing it, was when I bought these booties. I knew I could wear them in the early fall and late winter, but it wasn't until this spring that I realized that they'd make great spring and summer shoes! Their aerated silhouette definitely helps, but so does the light color.
Fast-forward to this April- I was able to attend a brunch hosted by Hush Puppies Shoes. They recently launched several worry free suede pieces. Not only are they transitional pieces, that work great no matter which hue you choose, but they are scuff and stain free! You can actually spill a glass of red wine on them and it won't stain. How neat is that?! I have those that I'm wearing in this post, but also a pair of booties. (I posted them on Instagram here)
In the spirit of the suede trend, here's some shoe options, to help you stay in style!
So, what so you think? Do you wear suede in he spring and summer months? It's a fabric that is super trendy right now, but I think it is something that people will continue to "break the rules" on. I mean, heck. There's even suede swimsuits right now!
Whether you're known for pushing the envelope or just a classic, there's a suede shoe for you!
