The Long Cardigan
Madewell Fireside Cardigan Sweater | J. Brand Jeans | Tee | Dolce Vita Haku Booties ( similar here, here, here) | Kendra Scott Earrings | Daniel Wellington Watch and Cuff
It's no secret that I love long cardigans. Whether you want to call them sweaters, dusters, or cardis, they are an essential part of my wardrobe and should be for yours as well. Their versatility is on point always!! I love wearing them in fall and winter, but where they are really handy is the awkward transitional period between winter and spring. Whatever I choose to wear one with, I feel like it gives my outfit an edge, and keeps me warm ;) You can't beat functional AND aesthetic benefits! I'm wearing it here with jeans, which can really be dressed up or down, depending on your shoe choice. It dresses down a skirt or dress (remember how I styled it with a maxi skirt?), which can be helpful if you want to throw it on after work! My favorite way to wear it is with shorts - for some reason, it just makes me feel really cool and I love the extreme length difference between the bottom of the sweater and shorts! (I didn't pair it with shorts here, but could have easily worn these black shorts with this outfit!).
Because I have a long torso, long cardigans have always been my favorite. I remember when short cardigans were what everyone was wearing and they just cut me in half! Do you like long cardis? Where is your favorite place to get them? Let me know - I'm always looking for new ones to add to my collection! I know that this isn't the most thought provoking post and is shorter than I would typically write (if you want thought provoking, check out this one!! It is my new record holder for number of clicks in a day!), BUT a lot of my energy is going into my new site. I'll let you know when I plan on launching! So excited!!
